Jordan Brand/Jumpman 23:
Economic Empowerment ~ Real Talk EP 3

I had the opportunity to be featured in a global YouTube campaign with Jordan Brand, where I joined a podcast discussion that explored the intersection of sports, culture, and creativity in the black community. Episode 3 of Real Talk by Jordan, saw some of the UK’s most exciting Black entrepreneurs and CEOs discuss how support from the Black community has been a key part of their success.

In Episode 3 of Real Talk, Mercedes Benson, international DJ and founder of SocialFIXT, an online community addressing the lack of diversity in the creative industry, speaks with creative director Maria Pearl, cultural strategist Kojo Marfo, music publisher Shauni Caballero, and community greengrocer Peigh Asante about the power of entrepreneurship in the Black community. Entrepreneurship and community power have long been at the heart of Black communities across the diaspora. From distributing resources and education, to creating platforms for showcasing new talents, what it means to be a Black entrepreneur today has been shifted by the next generation. In this discussion, we hear from an incredible panel of innovative community entrepreneurs as they unpack the strengths, obstacles and truths to running a successful business today.
