LOOSE ENDS

Loose Ends brings together exploratory works that sit outside defined categories. Existing as tests, offcuts, or unresolved ideas, these pieces act as fragments of process - documenting experimentation and moments that resisted being neatly placed.

An experiment in digital self-representation, using MetaHuman to test likeness, realism, and the boundaries of synthetic identity.

‘How the Screen Sees Me’ explores digital filtering to recreate the illusion of viewing the self through obsolete display technology. A custom-built CRT filter simulates scanlines and distortion, framing the image as something seen through a device rather than on a screen, and is available to download HERE with a tutorial.

A series placing the self inside nostalgic mobile phones, using outdated devices as frames to explore early digital intimacy, pixelated identity, and memory.

“In an alternate universe, I am a musician”
Using stills taken from existing videos, the work recontextualises moving images into static cover art, exploring how mood and identity shift when motion is frozen.

An illustrated exploration of original abstract “blobs”, reimagining everyday forms and turning the ordinary into something fun through playful experimentation with shape, colour, and texture.

‘The Cost of Ink’ examines printing, scanning, and imperfection as a way to introduce physical texture into digital work, allowing material process to shape the final image.
